About the Team

The Merrimack College Figure Skating team is a non-profit student-run club sport at Merrimack College. Our goal is to develop and maintain a figure skating team at Merrimack College aiming for excellence in collegiate figure skating. Our team consists of skaters leveling from preliminary to senior level. We have ice time 5 days a week ( Monday- Friday). Our skaters work on the sessions individually as well as with our coach for their own benefit of growing as an individual skater. Additionally we practice as a group to prepare for our team performances at the division 1 men's hockey games. Our team travels throughout the year to compete at collegiate competitions such as MIT Intercollegiate Competition and Violet Ice Classic Competition hosted by NYU. We host an annual Holiday Showcase to promote our team to the Merrimack College community as well as the figure skating community. A commitment of being a part of the figure skating team is to work at the Men's Division 1 Ice Hockey games and perform during intermissions. We fundraise in and around our community to improve the growth of our team each year.

It is our mission to promote the Merrimack College values and include everyone in our community. We work to encourage participation, knowledge and excellence in figure skating for people of all ages, abilities, and means.
